Badgley Mischka Fall 2012
Backstage at Badgley Mischka was so fun this season, and the nail look was absolutely gorgeous! The inspiration for the collection was from the angles and geometry of the Impressionist film “Metropolis,” and you can see the theme throughout the whole beauty look!
They did a beautiful big hair look with a deep aubergine lip, so we started with an aubergine toe in Dark Side of the Moon. The nails had the same beautiful aubergine shade Dark Side of the Moon, with Nefertiti across the tip which tied into the gold-lined eye perfectly.
The nails were short, round and feminine - and the hint of gold from Nefertiti made it look like jewelry was dripping off the edge of the nail. So fun, and super easy to do at home!
I got to chat with Joan Rivers backstage! How cool is that? She’s as awesome as she seems! We didn’t get to do a mani/pedi, but maybe next time! (Seriously, Joan, the offer is out there!!).
The extremely talented Editor In Chief of Seventeen, Ann Shoket, was backstage with Shay Mitchell from Pretty Little Liars, too! I’m so thrilled that I had the opportunity to chat with them, they’re incredible! We even got a really cute pic, love it!
It was such a crazy and exciting morning! I guess this is why I have a love/hate relationship with Fashion Week…so exhausting, but even more rewarding!
