Rodarte Fall 2012
Rodarte was as incredible as ever this season. We were given the direction of “Australian Outback,” so we went back and forth until we came up with the perfect combo for the collection!
We did two coats of No More Drama, a beautiful caramel shade with gold shimmer that I created with Mary J. Blige, then used my Flat Top matte top coat to tone down the shimmer and give the nail a dusty feeling. The combination was perfect! The makeup was almost “sandblasted” with a strong, beautiful cheek with bronze accents that tied into the nail perfectly.
I love this nail, and I like that we used my Flat Top matte top coat on a caramel shade because it’s something that we haven’t seen before. It shows the versatility of the trend, and made it more modern. I had to do a quick mani on myself at this show, too. I’m telling you, you have to try this look - SO easy!
