Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2012
This season was a little different at Narciso Rodriguez. Last fall we created the amazing custom shade, Stormy Weather, and it was an instant hit. This year, the look was about simplicity and a well-groomed nail.
We chose the shade days ago, but then there was a change in direction and the models ended up wearing gloves for the show. Your first reaction is probably to think that if the nails are covered there’s no nail look, but it’s the total opposite. A model should always have a finished look!
Grooming is key, and even if your fingers and toes are hibernating for the winter, you should always be prepared with primped nails. Nothing is better than unveiling a hidden hand or foot with a fresh mani and pedi! And, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, if you think that it’s a possibility for your man to pop the question…you have to keep them fingers freshly groomed and camera-ready!
Tonight, models were flaunting perfectly groomed, short, round and feminine nails with one coat of Fashion and a super shiny top coat. Fashion is always a go-to shade, and we really wanted to elongate the finger so it was the perfect choice for this show.
Try this look, it’s so simple, understated and beautiful - it’ll be your new go-to when you’re in hibernation-mode! It’s the perfect way to fake a “naked” nail, simply chic!
